I’ve Always Been A Daydreamer

1 min read 111 words 3 views

I’ve always been a daydreamer, seeing the world as an illusion I could never quite touch. So, I built my own reality within dreams. Where everything I longed for felt close enough to hold. I lived in that illusion for years, until my mother died. In my grief, I sought refuge in those dreams, but they turned on me, haunting both my days and nights until I could no longer tell them apart. Reality found me again, heavy and cold, with a void that no dream could ever fill. Yet somewhere within that emptiness, I began to understand that perhaps healing begins when the illusion finally fades.
